History and lineage

The name NIGASU goes back to the swinging sixties when N.B. Mukerjee, an aircraft engineer with ordinary resourcesbut extraordinary enthusiasm started tinkering with engineering components in his little workshop. Eventually, he settled down to manufacture tube expanders and other heat exchanger tooling and called it “NIGASU Engineering Company”.
As the company grew, the need to provide outreaching services was felt Thus, under the auspices of Nigasu Engineering Company was born its partner firm “NIGASU Engineering Works”.

Founded in 1984 by K.L. Chatterjee, Nigasu Engineering Works is today arguably India’s leading service provider in the fields of Heat Exchanger Retubing, Tube expansion, Tube to tube sheet welding and allied activities.
We provide Retubing and allied services to Heat Exchanger/ Boiler operating customers including Fertilizer, Chemical and Petrochemical plants, Refineries, Power plants, Metal Smelting plants - practically all the plants dealing with process equipments.
